These items took our kids fishingkeep kids connected to the outdoors through fishing!PAL Kids Go FishingT he Fishing Clubs foundation sponsored a special fishing trip aboard the Miss Blue Heron for a group of kids from the City of Riviera Beachs Police Athletic League.Thankfully the weather gods were in a cooperative mood and the kids caught a variety of reef fish.One young man even landed a keeper cobia (and the cobia carcass was donated for research to the FWC FWRI lab in Tequesta).For more than a few of the participants this excursion was their very first trip offshore on a big boat.Upon returning to the dock the kids watched a dockside demonstration on how to filet fish.Before heading home every participant was BUILTpresented with a new fishing rod & reel.Club members Stuart FOR Pavlik, Dan Miller and George Patane served as trip volunteers providing instruction and assistance to the kids throughout the FISHING day.Introducing young people to fishing and helping them make new memories on the water is something the Fishing Club has been doing foravery long time.
