b"Foundation NewsRybovich Endowment GrowsThe Palm Beach County Fishing Foundations (PBCFF) short-term goal of growing its Ry-bovich Endowment to over 2 million dollars is drawing near, thanks to our most recent contri-bution from the Estate of Charles Steinmetz.Charlie was one of our most active volunteers thirty years ago.He really enjoyed being involved with our Kids Fishing Day program and other community events the Fishing Club produced, said WPBFC President Tom Twyford. Charlie included the Fishing Clubs foundation in his estate planning. As a beneficiary of Charlies Trust, $200,000 has been added to our endowment. The impact of this contribu-tion is significant.Charlies thoughtful planning will help us build upon our organizations incredible 89-year legacy of marine conservation, game fish research, preservation of local sportfishing history, youth outreach, and educational support through scholarships.Growing our endowment is helping us expand our programs and will position our organization to meetCharlie Steinmetz (l) with then future challenges as they arise. This is exactly the type of support Sandy Kaupe and JohnnyWPBFC President John Jolley (r) Rybovich envisioned when they helped us create the endowment. They both would be veryduring a club Fish Fry event at the clubhouse in 1990.proud of just how far we have come, added Twyford. We remain grateful to members like the late Charlie Steinmetz who shared the PBCFFs long term vision of financial stability, growth and perpetuating our organizations commu-nity initiatives. If you are in a position to help the PBCFF grow the endowment like Charlie was, please consider the Fishing Club'sAlbertsonBecomes foundation in your estate planning or by making an end-of-yearRybovich Fellowtax deductible contribution. There are a variey of ways to give that provide tax saving benefits to the donor. Longtime WPBFC member LaMont Albertson has become the PBCFFs most recent member of the PBCFFs Rybovich Fellowship. The 40 year Fishing Club member made a generous donation to the PBCFFs Rybovich Endowment in memory of his parents Lamont C. & M. Liz Albertson and the late Judge William Bill Bollinger. The donation will helpLaMont grow the PBCFFs Rybovich Endowment,Albertsona special fund established in 1992 to sup-port Palm Beach County based youth fishing programs, area scholarships and marine research initiatives. (see endowment update above).LaMont and Bill were childhood fishing buddies. We used to catch all kinds of fish around Munyon Island and throughout the north end of the Lake Worth Lagoon on bait, and wooden plugs like Heddon Plunkers and Zara Gossas. We caughtsnook, trout, redfish, bluefish and even sawfish. We also caught seahorses, by hand. The sea grass was thick! But I guess my fondest memories with Bill were all the fish we caught from Currie Park north to Riviera Beach.I cant tell you how many jacks, ladyfish, pompano, mackerel and bluefish we caught off the Flotilla Club dock, or mangrove snapper on cane poles off the Spencer and Rybovich docks.I could go on and on! remembered Albertson who emphasized how grateful he is to his late parents for passing on their love of the outdoors and fishing.Individuals can become a Rybovich Fellow by making a contribution of $2,500 or more specifically earmarked for the Rybovich Endowment.46 W estP almB eachF ishingc luB"
