b"We Finally Had a Yard SaleAfter a one-year hiatus, the local angling community was ready for the Fishing Clubs popular Marine Yard Sale. The one-day event was held in mid-April and generated over $30,000 for the clubs charitable foundationa new record! This was our first public event in over a year.People were obviously ready for some great bargains.Since we had nearly two years worth of donations there was a lot to choose from, said WPBFC President Tom Twyford.Several modifications were taken this year to keep the all-outdoor event safe for volunteers and patrons. The WPBFC is very grateful to all those who donated unwanted fishing and boating gear throughout the year, to those who showed up and bought items, and to all our incredible volunteers who make it all come together. It was great to get the band back together, joked longtime WPBFC volunteer Dave Naumann. This year, Yard Sale volunteers were decked out in shirts that featured an image of Capt. Bouncer Smith. The shirts were among one of the donations Bouncer made to the sale.We figured it was a well deserved tip of the cap to Bouncer who has been so supportive of the Fishing Club and yard sale for many years. As always, we are forever indebted to our friends at Ande Monofilament for allowing us to store our yard sale 'treasures' thereYard Sale volunteers decked out in year around.
